GIOVANNI ALBANO | Co-FOUNDER & CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Co-Founder Giovanni Albano brings 15 years experience in finance, management, and business ownership to his role as Chief Financial Officer of JoGiSports. His keen understanding of corporate finance and entrepreneurship has been uniquely informed by his founding and operating multiple successful consumer-focused businesses in the New York metropolitan area.

NICK RESTAINO | BASEBALL OPERATIONS

With a 25-year career advancing collegiate athletics, Nick Restaino'sleadership and strategic guidance on and off the field have led to the successful development of prominent baseball programs and numerous athletes. Known for fostering a culture of success in every role he assumes, Nick has served as Head Baseball Coach at Fordham University and Sacred Heart University, and as Chair of the A-10 Conference for baseball coaches. From these positions, he is seasoned in organizing NCAA-approved contests, ensuring regulatory compliance,and providing valuable opportunities for student-athletes, all of which make him ideal as our Director of Baseball Operations.

RJ Hopwood is a long standing professional with a diverse background spanning over a decade in Fund Marketing and Institutional Sales, coupled with extensive experience in various athletic roles. RJ's career includes serving as an Athletic Director, Athletics Communications Director, Coordinator of College Recruiting, and a Leadership Training Director, showcasing a versatile skill set that combines expertise in finance and athletics. As the Director of Corporate Relations, RJ leverages this unique blend of experiences to foster and maintain key relationships for the organization, driving strategic growth and success.

In addition to her work in education, Ivelis brings a creative flair as a screenplay writer for sports and entertainment. She also has valuable experience as an interpreter for the Cleveland Indians, showcasing her versatility and proficiency in various fields. As the Director of Operations, Ivelis leverages her unique skill set to foster meaningful relationships and drive strategic growth for the organization.

Lou Melendez is a distinguished attorney and former Major League Baseball executive with a remarkable career spanning over 29 years in the Commissioner's Office. Throughout his tenure, Lou held various key roles, including Vice President of International Baseball Operations and Consultant to the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). His deep knowledge and extensive experience in baseball operations and player relations make him a valuable asset to the MLBPA.

Lou's contributions to baseball extend beyond his work in the Commissioner's Office and MLBPA. In 2009, he served as the General Manager for Team Puerto Rico, further demonstrating his passion for and commitment to the sport. As a Consultant to the MLBPA, Lou's primary goal is to provide the Executive Director, his staff, and the players with the benefit of his vast knowledge and experience, ensuring that the interests of the players are well represented and protected.

EDUARDO PEREZ | SPECIAL ADVISOR

Eduardo Perez is a prominent figure in the world of baseball, known for his multifaceted career as a player, coach, and television analyst. As a former MLB player from 1993 to 2006, Eduardo showcased his versatility on the field, playing positions such as first base, third base, and as an outfielder.

After retiring from playing, Eduardo transitioned into coaching, where he made significant contributions to the Houston Astros and Miami Marlins. His managerial skills were further recognized when he led Leones de Ponce to a league title in the Puerto Rico Baseball League in 2008, earning him the prestigious title of Manager of the Year.

Currently, Eduardo is an ESPN Television analyst for Sunday Night Baseball, where his insights and expertise continue to enrich the baseball viewing experience for fans worldwide. As a Special Advisor, Eduardo's wealth of experience and deep understanding of the game make him an invaluable asset, providing strategic guidance and mentorship to players and teams alike.

EDWIN RODRIGUEZ | SPECIAL ADVISOR

Edwin Rodriguez is a highly respected figure in the world of baseball, with a diverse and accomplished career spanning both playing and coaching roles. As a player, Edwin briefly played Major League Baseball as an infielder in the early 1980s, giving him valuable insights into the game at the highest level.

However, it is in his managerial and leadership roles where Edwin has truly made his mark. He is perhaps best known for his tenure as the manager of the Florida Marlins, where he led the team with distinction. Edwin's managerial skills were further showcased when he led Puerto Rico's World Baseball Classic team in both 2013 and 2017, demonstrating his ability to lead teams on the international stage.

In addition to his managerial success, Edwin has also excelled in other baseball-related roles. He has served as the General Manager of Leones de Ponce, showcasing his acumen for team management and operations. Edwin's commitment to developing young talent is evident in his role as the Executive Director for the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy in Gurabo, PR, where he has undoubtedly made a lasting impact on the next generation of baseball players.
